I couldn’t afford my school fees. Today I run a successful business that empowers people to dream big
Dreams—they were my lifeline. Growing up in a community that believed girls weren’t meant for education, my dreams became my escape from a reality that wanted to suffocate them. But let me tell you—it wasn’t easy.
The Fear That Shaped Me
Courage doesn’t come from comfort. It comes from the moments when fear is so intense, you feel like running. I lived in that fear every day. Fear of not being able to help myself to pursue my dreams. Fear of being denied the education I so desperately craved. Fear of the abuse that threatened to break me.
Despite all of this, a tiny spark inside me refused to die. I held onto the words of Abdul Kalam, who said, "You have to dream before your dreams can come true," and Walt Disney, who reminded me, "All our dreams can come true if we have the courage to pursue them."
I understood early on: if I wanted to change my life, no one else was going to do it for me. It was up to me to find the courage.
The Defining Moment
One moment stands out like a beacon in my childhood. I had just finished 5th grade, but my family couldn’t afford the 800-rupee school fee. I remember sitting in the corner of our small home and feeling helpless. The thought of quitting school weighed heavily on me, but I knew I couldn’t let my dream die there.
So, I acted.
I took a summer job, earned 2,000 rupees with which I paid my school fees and also supported my family. It was the first time I truly understood the power of my own resolve. If I wanted something badly enough, I could make it happen.
But this was just one battle.
Life’s Unrelenting Challenges
As the years passed, I faced more obstacles—emotional and mental health struggles that threatened to break me. The weight of life felt unbearable, but giving up was never an option. I didn’t just want to survive—I wanted to thrive.
That’s when I found ICBI.
How ICBI Changed My Life
In 2018, I joined the Image Consulting Business Institute (ICBI)—a gift from my husband that became a turning point in my life. It was a quick, instinctive decision for me. The moment I saw the course curriculum, I knew this was what I needed to push myself to the next level. I had already observed through my business interactions how self-image could change lives, and I realized this was the polish I needed. No second thoughts, I enrolled for the course in less than 30 seconds. It felt like a natural step forward.
The courses weren’t just about improving outward appearances; they rebuilt my inner strength and gave me the tools to enhance myself. My self-image, confidence, and communication became my strongest assets. I didn’t just learn—I transformed. I began to see myself in a new light. My self-image, confidence, and communication skills became my superpowers.
Behind the Scenes of Transformation
The timid girl who once feared the future became a confident woman ready to take on the world. ICBI didn’t just give me skills; it gave me back my voice. I realized that my dreams mattered. I mattered.
After completing the course, I became an image consultant and soft skills trainer. But more than that, I became a symbol of what’s possible when courage triumphs over fear. Today, I empower others to live their dreams by helping them improve their self-image. Whether it’s through training workshops, consulting, or community work, my mission is clear: show people that when they believe in themselves, they can achieve anything.
A Role Model for Others
My transformation didn’t just impact me—it inspired those around me. Friends and family who once doubted my potential now see me as a role model. They’ve watched me rise from a scared, abused girl to a successful professional who has changed countless lives. Giving back to the community that once doubted me is the greatest reward.
Conclusion: Courage Creates Magic
As I look ahead, my goal is simple: raise awareness about the power of self-belief and image management. I want everyone to know that no matter where you come from, you can shape your destiny.
Courage doesn’t mean you’re not afraid—it means you’re scared but choose to move forward anyway. And when you do, that’s when magic happens. That’s when dreams stop being dreams and become your reality.
Trust me, there’s nothing more powerful than that.
Because if I can do it, so can you.
