Dr Ritu Nagpal, an Image Consultant and Soft Skills Trainer, designed and facilitated an interactive professional development workshop, “The Sky Is Falling: Reimagining the Dots,” at Laburnum School, Gurgaon, on September 17, 2026.
The workshop focused on helping educators rethink how they guide students in a rapidly changing career landscape. Through activities, reflection and practical scenarios, educators were encouraged to move beyond traditional career stereotypes and connect students’ interests, abilities and aspirations with evolving opportunities.
The session aimed to equip educators with a more informed and future-oriented framework for meaningful career conversations with students. For Ritu, the workshop brought together her experience in education, training, behavioural development and industry exposure to create a practical bridge between what students learn today and the skills and career possibilities they may encounter tomorrow.
Participants described the session as enlightening and insightful, noting that it expanded their understanding of emerging careers and ways to identify students’ skills and pathways. They also shared that the knowledge and perspectives would help them guide students more effectively and create a wider positive impact within families and communities.
